8/30/08....Barker Brook's Stormin Norma places  3rd  making her debut at Vermont Beagle Club Hardwick, Vermont at 7 months old in the combined 15" derby field trial class with 18 starters.  Large pack on hare.

10/26/08 ... Below, Barker Brook's Stormin Norma 9 months old placing 1st  in 15 " Derby Class that was held by the Maine Beagle Association at Androscoggin Valley Beagle Club Minot, Maine.  She is out of my litter whelped 1/26/08.  Sire: Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey & Dam: FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny.

2008 was such a fun and rewarding year.  Barker Brook's Triscadeca  finished as an AKC Field Champion with 1st place at Eastern Maine Beagle Club in April 2008.  Finishing with 192.58 points and 3 wins.  She was a pleasure to train, gun over and finish as a FC.  Also 2008 was a great year starting two young hounds on the trial circuit.  Barker Brook's Waylon Willie placed at many trials and took a 5th at the annual International Beagle Hare Futurity.  He was awarded 3rd place for High Hound 2008 15" Derby by the Maine Beagle Association.  In the wild he is an outstanding hound to gun over. Then there's Barker Brook's Stormin Norma.  She just turned 1 January 26, 2009.  She is out of Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey & FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny.  She took 3rd place in a Derby, her first field trial at Hardwick Vt. at only 7 months old.  She then took  1st at Androscoggin Valley Beagle Club in a Derby.  And another 3rd place Derby at Kennebec Valley Beable Club.  She placed 2nd at a bench show for under 1 year olds at Hardwick Vt.  She was awarded 4th place for High Hound 2008 15" Derby by the Maine Beagle Association.  This was all accomplished by her before she was a year old.  She is also gunned over in the wild and is an outstanding hare hound, she explodes off a check. 

It was a great year sharing this fun sport with everyone on the circuit.  Hearing lots of stories & all the  laughs & so many new people I met this year.......PRICELESS......Hope to see you all next season!!
