10/21/09....  My brother Jerry with his dog Xena of Greenwood Forest, Jack & Me with my dogs Barker Brook's Stormin Norma & Hulu (6 months old) and my brother Carroll from Andover N.H. doing some hunting.  What a beautiful day to be out & enjoying a fun sport with some great dogs.  Dogs ran none stop. 

10/27/09....FC Barker Brook's Triscadeca, FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Xena Of Greenwood Forest.  Another good day of Runnin & Gunnin.  Deer season coming up real soon, so back to running the  dogs at the club grounds.  It has been a good fall for hare hunting, lots of game.  Have plenty of rabbits in the freezer for my meat pies, a Holiday favorite!!  Can't wait til deer season is over to get back out in the wild where the dogs really belong. 

10/30/09... Jerry just had to get out one more time before deer season  with his pups Rocky  whelped 3/29/09  out of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey, and Cosmo whelped 5/30/09  out of Xena Of Greenwood Forest & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie. These 2 pups are just incredible to be doing it all at such a young age.  A very nice cross on these two breedings.

12/04/09....  Jerry with Rocky, Jack & Jan with Hare Raising Hulu & Stormin Norma.  Male rabbits gave these young dogs some good running.  White rabbits on brown ground made for some fun shooting on the fly!!  DECEMBER IN MAINE??  I love it!!!

2/17/10....Jerry with Cosmo 9 months old, Rocky 11 months old, Jan with Hulu 11 months old & Stormin Norma 2 yrs. old.  A beautiful February day to be out with some young dogs. 

2/18/10....Xena Of Greenwood Forest with 2 of her pups Lacey & Artemis 9 months old, (Sire Waylon Willie), also Dejavu 8 months old out of FC Triscadeca & Waylon Willie.  Another fun day with some nice pups doing a great job of running the Hare!!

3/08/10....Hulu, FC Triscadeca, Lacey, Dejavu, Stormin Norma & Artemis on Line running a Hare.   THESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!!
10/05/10 ... My brother Jerry & I with Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Stormin Norma doing what they love to do.....chase them Bunnies!!  These male rabbits gave them some good running!!  Nice to be back out in the Wild!!!!

10/11/10  A Beautiful October day to be out & enjoying the Great outdoors with dogs Willie, Xena & Bogey.  Rabbits are running like spring time.  Taking the dogs for some Long Runs!!!

When we get home from hunting, a nice surprise awaits us on our deck.  SportDog sent us In - Ground Fence 100A.  The Beagle on the package is Barker Brook's Arlo.  With me in photo after a Day of hunting are Barker Brook's Waylon Willie & Xena Of Greenwood Forest, (Sire & Dam) of Arlo (Beagle on the packaging).  A nice way to end a perfect Day!!  

10/13/10  Jerry with rabbit he shot in front of Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Stormin Norma.  This rabbit thought he had out foxed both dogs & hunter taking some Long loops.  October rabbits Nice & Fat!!

10/26/10  Me (Jan), Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey, Jack, Jerry & Xena Of Greenwood Forest  after a morning of Great running.  It had rained hard the night before & stopped around 7:00 AM.  Tailgate was dropped at 8:30 AM,  Bogey & Xena  were running the first rabbit fifteen minutes after they were cut loose.  We were done hunting by 1:00 PM, having a nice lunch of soup, sandwiches & coffee & enjoying the warm 77 degree weather.  I got 1 rabbit plus a bird, Jack 2 rabbits & Jerry 1 rabbit.  October & Beagles, Can't Beat It!!!
