Chara's Mother FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu Did The Same Thing In Her Derby Year ... Double Dipped 1st In The 15" Derby & 15" Female All Age For Maine High Hound!! We Are So Proud Of Them ... This Takes A Very Strong Young Hound To Be Able To Handle The Pressure Of Competing With Some Of The Best Running Hounds In The Country & Canada & Pull This Off  But To Have A Mother Then A Daughter Do It  Shows The Strength & Accuracy Bred Into These Hounds!! Congratulations Kris & Chara!!  Chara Is Also Up For Other Awards That Will Be Posted As Soon As Finalizing Is Finished!!  This Young Hound Has Had An Incredible Couple Of Years ... 1/18/2015 ~ A Good Way To Start Out The New Year ... Eastern Mass. Beagle Club Ashburnham, Mass. AKC Licensed Large Pack On Hare Field Trial 15" Females                          1st Place ~ Krissy's BB Chara ... Her Dam: FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu, Her Sire: Barker Brook's Waylon Willie. We are very proud of this very young consistant hound, be it at a Field Trial or out in the wild she gets it done.   This young Hound is accomplishing much at such a young age ...   She won't be two until June 2015!!  A very leveled headed hound like her mother FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu she can take the pressure & hold the line no matter how many hounds are running with her.  The proud owners Kris & Tim Merrifield have trained & hunted Chara to the point of putting her in Field Trials  ... New to the Field Trial Circuit, they are having fun plus meeting new beagler friends because of Chara!  That's What It's All About  ...  Life Is Good ... 2/08/2015 ~ Krissy's BB Chara Takes 1st Place At Salmon Falls Beagle Club Lebanon, Maine In The 15" All Age Sanctioned Large Pack On Hare Class.   Competing Against Males As Well As Females Shows The Strength & Endurance This Young Female Has Plus She Is Still A Derby,  Won't Be 2 Until June.  A Very Level Headed Strong Young Female That Can Get The Job Done No Matter What The Conditions ... Very Deep Snow Today!  Barker Brook Beagles Is Very Proud Of Her!

3/28/2015 ~ 3rd Place Krissy's BB Chara At Kennebec Valley Beagle Club Litchfield, Maine with 26 starters - AKC Licensed Small Pack Option On Hare Trial ...  Maine Beagle Association Qualfier.  This was the first small pack field trial that Chara  competed in & as you can see she is one that you can always count on for consistency no matter what kind of trial it is.  Such a fine young hound ... won't be 2 until June & is kicking Butt on the circuit!  Love Her ... One Fine Hound!!

4/05/2015 ~ 2nd  Place Krissy's BB Chara At Miller's River Beagle Club Orange, Mass. Owned by Kris Merrifield  places again with 23 staters - AKC Licensed Large Pack On Rabbit and / or Hare.  Chara is very level headed when it comes to running in trials & just tunes everthing out except her goal of running down the Rabbit or Hare.  Doesn't matter to her if it is snow or sod she will find them ...  She is going to be a fun one to watch in this years futurity!!  

 4/18/15 ~  1st Place  With 31 Starters ... A New Field Champion Krissy's BB Chara Shown Here With Kris & Jaclyn Merrifield At Claremont Beagle Club - Claremont, New Hampshire AKC Licensed Large Pack On Hare Field Trial.  This Finished Chara As An AKC Field Champion With 4 Wins & 122.17 Points Pending AKC Approval.  This Has Been An Extrodinary Couple Of Years For The Merrifild Family With This Young Hound Not Turning Two Until June Of This Year!! Congratulations ... Well Deserved!

4/19/15 ~ Androscoggin Valley Beagle Club - Minot, Maine Sanctioned All Age Combine Large Pack On Hare Field Trial  2nd Place ~ Old County Road Lady Jane ~ She is proudly owned by Ken & Pauline Gillis of Freeport, Maine.  She was Bred & Born here at Barker Brook (3/29/09) - Dam: FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Sire: Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey. Lady Jane Is Primarily  Used For Hunting But Can Jump Into A Field Trial & Place As Well  ... Good Nose & Endurance.  A Fun Dog To Own That Rules Her Couch Spot In Her Home With Her Proud Owners Ken & Pauline.  5th Place ~  Is  FC Krissy's BB Chara  After Running & Placing 1st The day Before In A Field Of 31!!  We Are Very Proud Of These Two Dogs Born Here At Barker Brook ... Nice Running Lady Jane & Chara!!

5/10/15 ~ Barker Brook's Dejavu Took 2nd Place  At Eastern Maine Beagle Club Carmel, Maine With 19 Starters AKC Licensed Small Pack Option On Hare Trial 15" Female Class ~ Dejavu Is Out Of FC Barker Brook's Triscadeca & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie.  No Easy Task On A Hot Dry Day Like It Was. There Was No Quit In The Remaining Hounds, They  Worked Well  As A Pack To Get Their Final Scoring!  I Love My Deja ... She Is A No Quit Hound No Matter What The Conditions!!

5/17/15 ~  Waterville Beagle Club Vassalboro , Maine AKC Licensed Large Pack On Hare Field Trial 15" Female Class With 24 Starters ... Oakhill's Hare Tearin Abigail - 4th Place - She Is Out Of FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie She Is Proudly Owned By Darren Robinson.  A Young Female That Is Hunted Hard During Hunting Season & New On The Field Trialing Circuit ... She Knows What To Do When Cut Loose ...  Darren Is Having Fun With This Nice Young Hound!!

5/30/15 ~ Androscoggn Valley Beagle Club AKC Licensed Large Pack On Hare Field Trial 15" Female Class With 26 Entries ~ So Proud of these two Girls .... Placing 5th My Barker Brook's Skeeter Laloca Whelped 6/13/13 on the left out of FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie.  Ryan Beaulieu with FC Kib's Brandi Girl placed 2nd ... she is out of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey owned by Ray Kibbey a fun day with some extreme hot & dry  running conditions ... all dogs that made it to the end were well conditioned!!

6/7/2015 ~ We are very proud of FC Krissy's BB Chara owned by Kris & Tim Merrifield placing 3rd  at Eastern Mass. Beagle Club Ashburnham, Mass. with 29 starters. Chara is out of our FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie. Kris was unable to attend but her dear husband Tim made sure Chara got there. Good team work with this hound  CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN MERRIFIELDS ... A consistant hound ... well done!

6/14/15 ~ Southern Maine Beagle Club West Buxton, Maine AKC Licensed Large Pack Field Trial with 31 starters ... 2nd place Hares Nightmare Luna Tick Owned by Ryan Beaulieu Newport, NH. Luna is out of FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu & Barker Brook's Waylon Willie, whelped 6/15/12. Luna is an awesome hunting hound as well ...  whether on snow or sod she will run them to the gun!!  We are very proud of you Ryan & Luna!

6/20/15 ~ Claremont Beagle Club Claremont, NH - All-Age Large Pack On Hare Sanctioned Field Trial With 25 Starters ~ 2nd Place FC Kib's Brandi Girl Shown With  Ryan Beaulieu Owned By Ray Kibbey Of Newport, NH. Brandi Is An Outstanding Hound Out Of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey.  Brandi Had A Litter Of Pups Last Year After Making FC ... All Her Pups Are Running Like They Should Be & Showing Great Promise For Future Events!!  You Will Be Seeing Brandi At This Years Futurity At Hardwick, Vt Running In The Field Of Champions ... I Would Say She Will Give It A Good Shot In The Competion ... Good Luck Brandi ... KICK BUTT!!

10/11/15 ~ Sunrise County Beagle Club Deblois, Maine ...  That  weekend Chara had  run about 30 miles including  5th place at  Sunrise County Beagle Club  ...  Saturday before the trial she went hunting & had run 15 miles with her hunting pack  helping them  bring 3 rabbits to the gun. Owner Kris Merrifield is very proud of her... she is a tough little girl.  That would be FC Krissy's BB Chara!!  WHAT A HOUND THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON!!

11/15/15 ~ Eastern Maine beagle Club, Carmel, Maine ... 15" Sanctioned Derby With 13 Starters 1ST Place Linc's Straight Arrow  Owned & Shown By Lincoln Johnson  ... Arrow Is Out Of FC Kib's Brandi Girl Which Is Out Of FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny ...  3RD Place  Owned & Shown By Me (Jan Mills) Is Barker Brook's American Sniper Which Is Out Of Barker Brook's Dialed In Danica Which Is Out Of FC Barker Brook's Triscadeca.  Nice To See Both Of My Old FC Girl's Grandpups On The Podium!!   What A Fun Day!!
