FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu owned by Janice Mills has been a pleasure to own, train, hunt & work with. She was whelped here at Barker Brook on 3/29/2009 … her Dam: FC Barker Brook's 12 Gauge Anny & her Sire: Barker Brook's Blackdash Bogey.
By the end of 2010 The Maine Beagle Association awarded Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu 1st Place High Hound 15" Derby and 1st Place High Hound 15" Female all age. Incredible that at such a young age Hulu had accomplished so much.
Hulu was also 3rd Runner Up in the Better Beagling's 32nd Annual 2010 Outstanding Hunting Beagle 15" Female Award with a total of 190 points.
4/02/11 At Kennebec Valley Beagle Club - Litchfield, Maine AKC Licensed Small Pack on Hare 15" Female Field Trial with 31 entries Hulu placed 1st. This win finished her as an AKC Field Champion 4 days after her second Birthday.
7/02/11 - INTERNATIONAL BEAGLE HARE FUTURITY & THE INTERNATIONAL TRIAL OF CHAMPIONS hosted by the Vermont Beagle Club Hardwick, Vermont in her futurity run with 37 starters FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu placed 3rd.
7/04/11 - After running & placing in her 15" female futurity run, FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu had a day of rest & came back to run in The International Field Trial Of Champions ~ She had just warmed up placing in her futurity and put on a Great show placing 2nd in the combined male & female 15" Field Champions with 20 starters Monday July 4th!! She is quite the Girl to run so hard two days with such endurance, drive & accuracy.
By the end of 2011 Maine Beagle Association awarded Hulu 1st Place High Hound 15” Female all age for the second year in a row.
During the hunting season you will find this fine hound out where she loves to run & under the gun. She is a top notch hunting beagle whether it be on snow or sod you will always come home with game. If not, you can't blame Hulu because she will run them to you!!
Kris Merrifield is very happy with her hound FC Krissy’s BB Chara whelped at Barker Brook 6/13/13 & bought her as a pup … her Dam: FC Barker Brook’s Hare Raising Hulu & her Sire: Barker Brook’s Waylon Willie. Kris & husband Tim trained & hunted Chara then started putting her in Field Trials at a very young age which she handled quite well. She started placing & finished as an AKC Field Champion before she was 2 years old!
Krissy's BB Chara did some double dipping ~ The Maine Beagle Association awarded her 1st place for High Hound 15" Derby for the 2014 trial season & 2nd place for High Hound 15" Female All Age for 2014.
By the end of 2015 The Maine Beagle Association awarded FC Krissy's BB Chara 1st Place High Hound 15" Derby and 1st Place High Hound 15" Female all age. FC Krissy's BB Chara Double Dipping 1st Place 15" Derby & 1st Place 15" Female Maine High Hound For 2015!! Chara's Mother FC Barker Brook's Hare Raising Hulu Did The Same Thing In Her Derby Year ... Double Dipped 1st In The 15" Derby & 15" Female All Age For Maine High Hound!! We Are So Proud Of Them ... This Takes A Very Strong Young Hound To Be Able To Handle The Pressure Of Competing With Some Of The Best Running Hounds In The Country & Canada to Pull This Off But To Have A Mother Then A Daughter Do It Shows The Strength & Accuracy Bred Into These Fine Hounds!!
Chara was also 3rd Runner Up in the Better Beagling's 37th Annual 2015 Outstanding Hunting Beagle 15" Female Award with a total of 180 points.
4/18/15 ~ A New Field Champion, FC Krissy's BB Chara 1st Place With 31 Starters ... At Claremont Beagle Club - Claremont, New Hampshire AKC Licensed Large Pack On Hare Field Trial. This Finished Chara As An AKC Field Champion With 4 Wins & 122.17 Points. She Has Proven much in just a couple of years & an Amazing Hare Hunting Hound Just Like Her Mom Hulu & Her Dad Waylon Willie!
